This site can be used on a variety of digital platforms (computers, tablets, IPads). Your child will need his/her username and sign-in information provided in class to log-in. A great website to get students reading and practicing their reading comprehension. Can be used for Reading Log homework!
Epic! Books

This site is used in class a lot for reading practice and researching for projects. Students may choose from books assigned to them by the teacher in their mailbox, or freely choose from lists of books recommended for them. Can be used on the computer and tablets/IPads. Students will need sign-in information provided in class to log-in. May need a paid subscription after school hours. Can be used for Reading Log homework!
I-Ready

A website we used weekly in Computer Lab. Works with students in developing their reading and math skills. Click on "Charter Login" on Clever website. Students will need their "N number" and "Lunchroom PIN number" to sign-in. I-Ready is tailored to your child's ability level and assessment performance. This is a great website for additional reading and math practice at home!

A math skills practice website that students absolutely love! The students work on math skills learned in class that the teacher assigns. Once the student completes all the assigned tasks, he/she may practice other math skills. Students will need log-in information provided in class. Prodigy works on computers and tablets/IPads. Great for additional math practice at home!
National Geographic for Kids

A free site full of interesting science and geography facts for children. Online games and activites are also available on this site.

A free interactive math games site suitable for children of all ages. Has strategy games, math games, and math challenges. May need some parential help in choosing games appropriate to math skill level.
Go Noodle
A free and super fun video website that is great for getting out any wiggles or for some exercise! Students frequently request to play this for some "brain breaks" in class. They love it! There are several channels to select from. A few videos are educational, but most just get you up and moving. Would be fun projected up on a TV.
Teach Your Monster To Read

A fun reading website which children practice their literacy skills while building a silly monster. Students love this site! Accessing the site on an actual computer is free, but you can access the site (all 3 levels) on a tablet/IPad for a fee. Begins with simple literacy skills (letter identification and sounds), then progresses on to skills such as blends and diagraphs (ch, sh, th, etc sounds). Good for review at the beginning of the school year and for any extra practice if needed. Students log-in with their first name only.

This site is free to use and offers a variety of math and strategy/thinking games for first graders. You can even step up to another grade level for a challenge! Parents may need to help your child figure out the games in the beginning as some games do not have written instructions with them.
Starfall

A free interactive site suitable for preschool through 1st grade. First Graders should focus on either the "It's Fun to Read" or the "I'm Reading" sections. Good for beginning of the school year review or extra practice if needed. Children enjoy this site full of songs, games and interesting stories.
PBSKids

A free site that with corresponds to the PBS television station. Educational games and activities include popular characters such as Clifford, Sesame Street characters, Curious George, Cat in the Hat, Arthur and more!
