Meet Your Teacher...

Hello Students and Families!

 

       My name is Lindsey Garrott. I am super excited to welcome your child to First Grade as his/her teacher for this school year! I cannot wait to assist your child with exploring and learning new, exciting things throughout this year.

       I am a Florida native-born and raised in this area. I actually knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in 4th grade! I attended all my K-12 schooling in Manatee County, and graduated from the University of South Florida with my degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement. This school year will be my tenth year of teaching at Suncoast Academy. Prior to teaching First Grade, I taught Kindergarten for six years at Suncoast. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, trying new and unique restaurants, and gradually teaching myself amateur photography. As far as pets go, I have a very playful dog named Scarlet.

Restaurants/Food: Enjoy a variety of food....especially the small, unique locals

Season: Fall

Sports' Team: FSU Seminoles

Flowers: Sunflowers, plumerias

Sweets: Strawberry (Original) Twizzlers, Mounds, gummi bears, peppermint patties

Drinks: (Hot): Vanilla chai tea with soy milk

(Cold): Sweet tea (talking southern SWEET!),"Banana Berry Treat" Smoothie King smoothies
